Data needs power. The RatPac PDB Link Canada combines the two like never before: providing a 4-port unmanaged Ethernet switch with POE+, six 20A
Edison duplexes that are hot or switchable up to 12 circuits (individually controlled via DMX when in switchable mode), a 6 double port isolated DMX node that
can also function as two 6-port DMX opto-splitters, all in one easy-to-transport and quick-to-setup lunchbox. Each Edison output pairs are dual wattage meaning they are able to power either one 2.4kW or two 1.2kW fixtures without having to change any settings. Designed as the base of our new modular system, the PDB Link snaps together with additional RatPac products in the Link System for efficient rigging.
Connect one DMX cable into either the Universe A or B input port on the side and have it repeated across all 12 XLR outputs. Connect a second DMX cable into the second Universe input port and 6 of the XLR outputs will now output the second universe automatically, while the other six XLR outputs will stay assigned to the first Universe. Alternatively switch the PDB Link into Node mode with the Input Select button and use it as an Ethernet Node/Gateway: Plug an Ethernet cable into the side and use up to six universes of data across each of the 6 XLR pairs as a different universe output. A seventh universe can be assigned to operate the switchable Edison circuits when selected. The PDB Link Canada marks the introduction of RatPac’s new Link System, which makes building power-data stacks a snap. Literally.
